Canning House’s Opportunities Series examines, through various lenses, the opportunities and obstacles faced by disadvantaged groups in Latin America. The second event, Opportunities and Race, considers the approaches to tackling racial inequalities.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Canning House Renewable Energy in Latin America Conference will once again be generously hosted by Eversheds Sutherland at their London offices on the Thursday 14th March. This event is jointly organised by Canning House and Eversheds Sutherland, and kindly sponsored by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

A joint event with Grupo Atalaya in just three months of Andrés Manuel López Obrador's presidency, Mexico's political landscape has shifted considerably. The country's 120 million inhabitants makes it an indispensable economy for British companies and investors - which is why Canning House believes it is timely to develop a granular understanding of the opportunities.

Latin America is undergoing an unprecedented time of change. New governments in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are formulating reform programmes of different varieties but all aim to make their countries more prosperous and economically stable. The British Government is working closely with governments in each country delivering programmes designed to open markets and generate opportunities.
