Canning House 2020 Events Programme

  • Canning House

The Canning House 2020 events programme is now available.

You can now download our 2020 events programme - covering everything from our Flagship and Business, Trade, and Investment events to our Cultural and Social calendars.

As we cross the decennial anniversary of the Canning Agenda, launched by former Foreign Secretary Lord Hague in 2010, one of our Flagship Events will reflect on what progress has been made to strengthen diplomatic and trading relationships with Latin America over the last 10 years. In our LatAm Outlook, we will convene senior leaders from business, government, academia, think-tanks and international organisations to create a forecast of the region's political, economic and social changes for next year, and years to come. For the first time, Canning House will also play host to the UK-Brazil Conversa, an annual forum set up to discuss key issues relating to UK-Brazilian relations.

In 2020 our Business, Trade & Investment conferences series will once again cover a range of sectors, with conferences dedicated to Renewables & Sustainable Development, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Finance, Education, and Food & Drink. These conferences will also play host to conversations between key regional policymakers in our Mayoral Dialogues. Our members and associates will also be invited to regular policy roundtables, business briefings and networking events.

Through our Geopolitical and Socio-Economic events programme we will address pressing issues in Latin America such as violence & security and migration. This will be complemented by regular Current Affairs Briefings in the form of Webinars in response to breaking news stories as they happen across the region.

Our Cultural programme will shine a light on forgotten histories in Latin America, and look at the ways in which the continent is leading in innovative design to tackle the biggest issues our planet is facing.

Finally, our Social calendar will bring together our friends and colleagues to celebrate the closeness of our ties at home and across the seas.

Make sure you save the dates in your diary! Registration for events will open shortly.
