Women in Foreign Policy
Canning House presents “Women in Foreign Policy”, where female Latin American Ambassadors in the UK will have a space to share their insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by women in global diplomacy and their personal experiences in the field.
The core aims of this event are to increase the visibility of Latin American female leadership, gender equality and women's empowerment in global diplomacy and to help nurture a community that promotes positive gender perspectives, as well as a safe and prosperous environment for women in diplomacy. We will also be seeking to highlight and share information on the contribution of Latin American women to global diplomacy, share best practices and increase the visibility of women ambassadors to inspire the next generation of women diplomats and agents of change.
This event is part of our Sustainable Development series, with a particular focus on Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality, as we seek to contribute to the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.
