UK-Latin America: Connecting Markets, Powering Growth
- Thursday 1 May 2025
- Citigroup Centre, 33 Canada Square, London, E14 5LB
- 16:00 - 18:45 BST + networking
This conference will explore how collaborative financial solutions can lay the foundation for shared prosperity between the UK and Latin America. It will bring together experts from fintech, emerging markets, export finance, and asset management.
The first panel will explore how London can provide a platform for Latin American companies and governments to attract investment and access international markets. The speakers will explore the latest trends opportunities in Brazil and the UK. With Brazil preparing to lead the global climate agenda at COP30, it is, also, a timely opportunity to build on the successful track record of UK-Latin American collaboration in climate finance, from sustainable bonds to carbon markets. Offering leading sustainable finance expertise and access to internationally-orientated capital, participants will consider why Latin America should look to London to finance its ambitious climate goals and the protection of its unique biodiversity.
The second panel will showcase the critical role of export finance and local currency funding in strengthening trade and investment flows between the UK and Latin America. In light of the UK’s recent accession to the CPTPP, export finance solutions offer essential tools for both regions to capitalise on new opportunities, diversify, and expand trade relationships. Amid technological advances and economic volatility, the discussion will, also, assess the impact of innovative financial mechanisms in unlocking opportunities within Latin America’s high-growth sectors and allowing the region to reach its full potential.
The conference's keynote speech will be delivered by The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alastair King of the Queenhithe Ward.
Register today to make sure you don't miss out on this gathering of UK-Latin American financial expertise.
