In the transition from a fossil-based to a green economy, Science can play a critical role in shaping bioeconomic opportunities and informing sustainable use of natural resources.

Ahead of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) COP16 in Calí, Colombia, Prof. Monique Simmonds OBE, deputy director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, explores the potential of the bioeconomy, with particular reference to Latin America, in Canning House's upcoming Business Breakfast.
