Opportunities and Challenges
Although the UK possesses a relatively welcoming business environment for overseas entrepreneurs, it can still be a complicated process establishing a business in a new country. To this end, Canning House, Google and the Department for International Trade’s Global Entrepreneurs Programme are hosting a joint event hearing from Latin American entrepreneurs’ experiences in the UK, to identify ways to help improve the experience for those wanting to start a business in the UK to make it an even more attractive proposition.
Coinciding with London Tech Week 2022, this hybrid event will convene a panel of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and UK government representatives, on 15th June, 15:00-17:15.
This event intends to:
- Hear from successful Latin American entrepreneurs about the benefits of starting and growing a business in the UK
- Hear from the UK government about why the UK is a good place to start and grow a business, and what resources are available for Latin American entrepreneurs
- Identify the difficulties facing Latin American entrepreneurs when trying to run a business in the UK
