Scotland - Latin America Business Forum 2015

A key outcome of the conference will be to share information and to forge meaningful connections to move towards growing trade between the regions. The Scottish Government and Scottish Development International are also in the process of formulating a trade strategy for the Americas region. This event will act as a sounding board for some of this policy formulation, or an opportunity to engage with companies interested in the ‘Latin American’ aspect of Scottish Government Americas policy.

The conference is free to attend and aimed at an audience of companies already exporting to international markets interested in exploring trade and investment in the region, and looking to hear more about the practicalities of doing so. The event would also be suitable for those interested in learning more about potential opportunities and partnerships in the region.

The event will be divided into two sections. The first – “Overview of the Latin American market – opportunities and challenges." The second, “What support is available for companies based in Scotland doing business in Latin America and what more needs to be done?” The event will be followed by a drinks reception in the Castlehill Room. There will also be an opportunity to visit the McIntyre Gallery and World’s Largest Collection of Scotch Whisky.
