Guillermo Lasso became the 47th President of Ecuador in 2021, having been a candidate in the elections of 2013 and 2017. Lasso was also the founder of the political party Creando Oportunidades (CREO). Prior to his political career he worked in the private sector and founded the think tank Ecuador Libre. He has written three books: "Letters to my children", "Another Ecuador is possible" and “900 Days: Democracy and Results”.

This event will provide participants an opportunity to enter a dialogue with the former president over the political landscape of Latin America with the backdrop of ongoing global divisions and the upcoming Ecuadorian election.
