Brexit and Immigration: What Are The Rights Of EU Citizens? [second edition]

This event is a follow-up to our very successful first 'Brexit and Immigration' panel, held in February this year.

Since then, article 50 has been triggered, and negotiations are underway between Theresa May's government and the EU; yet the type of Brexit pursued continues to be unclear, and the question remains as to how the rights and status of EU citizens will be affected when the UK eventually leaves the European Union. This event is an opportunity to discuss the situation with a knowledgeable panel and unpick the possible future scenarios, with specific reference to the citizens of Spain and Portugal.

Canning House is delighted to welcome: Juan Duarte, Counsellor in charge of Brexit issues at the Embassy of Spain in London, one of the first to put in place a consultation service on Brexit for its citizens living in London; José Galaz, an Attaché at the Embassy of Portugal in the United Kingdom; and we welcome back Guy Davison, a barrister and part-time judge, expert on immigration matters, who has appeared on Sky News, LBC Radio and the World Service.
