Chile's National Green Hydrogen Strategy
An Address by Juan Carlos Jobet, Minister for Energy and Mining of Chile
Hydrogen has the potential to transform the global energy landscape. The most abundant element in the universe could help cut greenhouse gas emissions in sectors that have proven most resistant to change, such as electricity, temperature control and transportation. With capacity to produce hydrogen by renewable means - so-called 'green hydrogen' - ever-increasing, the time for hydrogen has arrived. With its Green Hydrogen Strategy, the Government of Chile is looking to seize this opportunity.
On 25 June, Canning House was pleased to present an Address by Juan Carlos Jobet, Minister for Energy and Mining of Chile, on the country's strategy for the production and use of hydrogen as a source of clean energy, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality in the global energy transition.
