Bolivia & Chile

Current Affairs Briefing

The electorates of Bolivia and Chile have recently taken to the polls for highly anticipated votes – Bolivia’s general election, which took place on 18 October, and Chile’s national plebiscite on constitutional reform a week later.

As Luis Arce and the MAS claimed victory in Bolivia, in Chile the result was a landslide in favour of constitutional reform.

In this Canning House current affairs briefing, the team from LatinNews analysed the potential implications of these votes’ results for Bolivia, Chile, and the wider region.
